The most significant change involves the elimination of transaction fees associated with school meal payments that previously cost $3.50 per child through MySchoolBucks. School board member Jessica Wright highlighted how these fees could quickly accumulate to approximately $42 monthly for families with three children. By removing these charges, the district ensures more funds directly support student meals while providing a more user-friendly digital experience. Over 12,000 individuals have already downloaded the application as students return to classrooms across all 106 Pasco County Schools on Thursday morning.
