A Pasco County Eagle Scout, Ishaanth Ravichandran, spent over a year building wooden training boxes for the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office’s search and rescue K-9 dogs, replacing aging plastic ones. The new boxes are designed to enhance K-9s’ tracking abilities by using live human odor. The project faced administrative challenges but was successful, and the boxes will now support the training of the department’s 55 dogs.
