A 61-year-old woman from Spring Hill died late Friday night following a serious traffic accident in Pasco County. Florida Highway Patrol officers reported that the woman was driving a Kia Soul northbound on Drayton Street around 11:30 p.m. She attempted to make a left turn onto County Line Road but entered the path of an eastbound Ford E350 van. The van, driven by a 40-year-old man from Brooksville, struck the Kia, causing severe injuries to the driver. Emergency responders transported the woman to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
