A tragic accident occurred late Friday night in Pasco County, Florida, resulting in the death of a Spring Hill woman. The collision happened around 11:30 p.m. on May 22, 2026, at the intersection of Drayton Street and County Line Road. A Kia Soul driven by a 61-year-old woman was traveling northbound when it turned left into the path of an eastbound Ford E350 van. The van was being driven by a 40-year-old man from Brooksville. The Kia driver was struck and subsequently transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the van did not suffer serious injuries in the incident. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.
