Thomas Sanborn has expanded his Stillwaters Tavern restaurant concept to a second location in Land O Lakes, bringing his hands-on approach to the Hub at Bexley. The original St Petersburg location founded in 2014 focuses on local ingredients and Old World Florida roots while offering comfort food with creative twists. Chef Joanne Charlton adds Creole influences to the menu including Cajun seasoned popcorn and Bayou style shrimp dishes alongside traditional favorites like burgers and steaks. The new location features Hogfish a custom whiskey selected by Sanborn along with extensive beer selection and signature cocktails without names. The restaurant maintains its Florida theme through decor featuring local artwork and serving Cuban bread with handmade sausages on the sausage board. Signature dishes include the popular Chicken Jager Schnitzel and the best selling Birria Grilled Cheese which exemplifies the comfort food approach. Stillwaters Tavern continues to grow as part of 2B Hospitality Group which also operates nearby BelleBrava Italian restaurant in Land O Lakes.
