An 87‑year‑old bicyclist from Land O’ Lakes was fatally struck by a motorcycle on U.S. Highway 41 in Pasco County on Thursday evening. The motorcyclist, 81, was traveling southbound when the cyclist attempted to cross north of Swans Landing Drive. Police reported the collision left the bicyclist dead at the scene and the motorcyclist seriously injured. The rider was taken to a local hospital, where he died the next morning. Authorities are investigating the incident as a traffic collision.
