FHP Trooper Hospitalized After Teen Driver Hits Patrol Vehicle in Pasco County Crash

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a teenage driver. The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 7 a.m. on June 23 when an 18-year-old woman from Hudson collided with the rear of a stopped FHP Dodge Ram patrol vehicle. The patrol car had been positioned at a traffic signal on eastbound SR-54 and Northpointe Parkway in Pasco County, Florida. While the trooper required medical attention, the young driver sustained only minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital facility.
