Pasco County Fire Rescue has acquired a new boat, Fire Marine 1, costing approximately $380,000, funded through county resources. The vessel has cutting-edge firefighting and medical rescue capabilities and is vital during hurricane and scallop seasons. It is the only one of its size in the North Tampa Bay Area.
