The Freedom 250 Mobile Museum, a traveling educational exhibit focused on America’s founding and the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, has arrived in New Port Richey, Florida. Housed inside a large semi-truck, the free museum is parked along U.S. 19 through Saturday as part of a nationwide tour leading up to the semiquincentennial celebration in 2026. The interactive exhibit features artificial intelligence capabilities, historical presentations about the American Revolution, and allows visitors to digitally sign the Declaration of Independence. Families like the Tureks visited to give children hands-on historical experiences, with Rachael Turek noting the value of seeing history come alive rather than just reading about it. New Port Richey Library Director Andi Figart expressed excitement about the city being selected as a host site, describing the exhibit as blending historical education with future-focused technology. The museum is produced in partnership with PragerU, a conservative media and education organization, and features patriotic displays that attracted visitors dressed in red, white, and blue. After its run in New Port Richey, the mobile museum will make additional stops at Starkey K-8 School in Odessa on June 12 and 13.
