A seven-year-old boy from Lutz suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while riding a seated scooter on Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. in the 17800 block of Cloudless Bliss Drive, located east of Skybrooke Boulevard. A Tesla Model 3 driven by a forty-five-year-old man from Riverview collided with the child who was operating a Razor Crazy Cart Shuffle scooter. Investigators confirmed that the driver was not using the vehicle’s autopilot feature at the time of the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol determined that the driver failed to observe the child in the roadway before striking him. The injured boy was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment following this serious accident.
